Video: Woodkid – “The Golden Age”

Woodkid has completed his striking short film/long music video for his 2013 album of the same name, “The Golden Age.” This is the fourth song from the album to receive a video treatment from the man himself and as he has proven time and time again he has a great flair for the both the cinematic and dramatic.

The version of “The Golden Age” used in the video is a special extended edition, a collaboration with composer Max Richter. Check out the moving video and credits below…

Listen: Woodkid – The Golden Age” Full LP Stream

We like to think of ourselves as early champions of Woodkid’s work having shared every video released since 2011’s  Iron ep and on leading up to Yoann Lemoine’s full length, The Golden Age, which is out today. Of course we have also shared many of Yoann’s video works for other recording artists as well and it’s always quality work with a great sense for the dramatic and cinematic. The Golden Age continues in that fine tradition with its sprawling orchestral compositions filled with grand horns, captivating strings and massive percussion. Video: Woodkid –“I Love You”

Woodkid dropped his latest single, “I Love You” today. As always the visuals are top notch and continue the epic feeling and story line seen in “Iron” and “Run Boy Run”. This is the first single from The Golden Age LP which is due to drop on March 18.

The Video features Russian model Matvey Lykov hence the Russian dialogue at the start that roughly translates to this...
