Listen: Hooray For Earth - "Racy"

Hooray For Earth’s new album, Racy, is set to drop in two weeks; So far we have shared an audio stream and video for “Keys”  but today we can share an early listen of the title track, a spacey number that favors a more traditional approach then their more recent material.

Video: Hooray For Earth - "Keys"

Back in April I shared the latest sounds from New York’s Hooray For Earth who’s new album, Racy, is scheduled to drop on July 29^th. Today we got some visuals to share for those sounds as lead single “Keys” gets the video treatment.  Directed by Beau Burrows & Tucker Bliss “Keys" reintroduces some of the Sci-Fi themes started on the True Loves LP. Watch as the astronauts face changes from one band member to another in what is a subtle approach but one that is actually quite cleverly executed in my opinion.

Listen: Hooray For Earth – “Keys”

Hooray For Earth return to the scene today with the first proper taste of their forthcoming LP out in July titled, Racy. “Keys” falls in nicely with the vibe the band was experimenting with on their 2011 LP and Onomatopoeia favorite, True Loves, with its lush, bombastic production. Interestingly enough if anyone out there has heard any of those Bleachers tracks floating around  clearly someone else was a fan of the last Hooray for Earth LP as well, minus the Christian undertones of course.

Having previewed Hooray For Earth’s new single “Never” some months back the New York based indie rock band now has a seven and a half minute effects-laden video that you can watch to go alongside the track.

Listen: Hooray For Earth - "Never"

New York based indie rock band Hooray For Earth are back with some new material in the form of “Never.” If you are a fan of the sound the band firmly established with their last LP, 2011 Onomatopoeia favorite, True Loves, than you will be as happy as I was when giving this new one a spin. All the key elements are still intact, soaring chorus’ electronic noise, bombastic drumming and more. Check it below….

Video: Hooray For Earth – “No Love”

New York based indie rock band Hooray For Earth just dropped a video for my favorite tune of off one of my favorite albums from 2011. “No Love” was directed by Alex and Paul Cannon and features a zebra headed lady dancing at various locations throughout the city. Loving the bombastic drums and soaring chorus’ on this one.

Video: Hooray for Earth - "Realize It's Not The Sun"

Hooray For Earth‘s dropped a new video for the track “Realize It’s Not The Sun” from their debut LP True Loves, which just made my yearend list.  The visuals come from the NYC traffic feed. Band member Noel Heroux said of the video  “I see New York as a good place for me to live because I’m terribly anxiety prone. I think it just helps me to be in a busy place, [especially] somewhere that’s equally as loud. People are interesting, really scary, and occasionally wonderful. There are a lot of people here.” Check it below...
