Portland’s Menomena drop a video for “Plumage” off their recently released 5th LP, Moms. The video ,which was directed by Trevor McMaha, see’s the band going through a series of costume changes in the desert.

One last full LP stream to end the day off with and this time it’s in the form of Portland’s Menomena and their new, and 5^th overall LP, Moms, officially due out on September 18th via Barsuk. We shared both “Capsule” and "HeavyIs as Heavy Does" so you should have a pretty good idea what you are in store for.

Here is a second track from forthcoming Lp, Moms, from Portland’s Menomena. "Capsule" is another slice of goodness from the band featuring some distinctive looped drums and a very pleasant flute solo (That line just aged me by 30 years).  The album's out September 18 via Barsuk.  Head here to listen to the first single, "Heavy Is as Heavy Does" if you missed it the first time round’.

Portland’s Menomena are releasing a new album, their fifth studio album overall,  with themes centering around family and aging entitled Moms, on September 18 via Barsuk.  The band has released some of my favorite records in the last decade but recently lost one of its founding members, Brent Knopf, who decided to concentrate on his other project, Ramona Falls. As a result I have been somewhat curious to hear new material and with luck that came today in the form of "Heavy Is as Heavy Does". I can’t say the band’s sound has changed that much but why don’t you judge for yourself below….
