Video: The fantastic short films of Danny Cooke

UK-based videoagrapher and filmmaker Danny Cooke has made music videos and experimental shorts but it is his documentaries that have stood out, not just because of their beautiful cinematography but because of their ability to capture the passion and beautiful work of creators who specialize in dying art forms.

Upside Down, Left to Right's follows Paul Collier and is a look into one of the last remaining letterpress studios in the UK at Plymouth University.

Sign Artist is another look into the dying art of hand crafted glass art and explores the techniques, work and life of one of the last glass embossers in the UK, David A. Smith.

Be sure to check out more of Cooke's work on his website, including the award winning short Ray: A Life Underwater.

New Banksy Work

Yet even more new work from Banksy. The artist has been keeping things simple but I’m loving the interaction with the existing environment, humor shining through and though and reminding us all why he is so poular in the first place.

New Banksy Work in London

Photography: the lonely villein
A new Banksy piece has appeared on the side of Poundland, Whymark Avenue, London. The stencil depicts a child hard at work sewing some Union Jack flags. A commentary on child labor I assume.
