Video: Death Grips Full Boiler Room x Ray-Ban LIVE Show at SXSW Warehouse

What we got below is a full length HD performance of DeathGrips live at Ray-Ban x Boiler Room's SXSW warehouse showcase that took place on the 16th of March 2013.  The performance clocks in at 34 minutes and shows a different point of view than that seen recently in the video for “Lock Your Doors,” which you may recall used footage from cameras the band had attached to their heads. As always the showis pretty raw and intense.

Video: Fiona Apple debuts new song “Anything You Want” live at SXSW

Songstress Fiona Apple debuted a new song, "Anything We Want", at SXSW yesterday in which she narrates intimate imaginings of escaping to a dream world with a lover. This is the first tune we have heard from her forthcoming 4th LP due out in late June, The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do. Fans are pretty much frothing at the mouth as it’s been about 7 years since her last record came out. Apple will be playing Pitchfork’s showcase tonight leading up to a handful of performances here in NY next week, oh if you want a ticket to one of those shows it will run you about $180 on the second hand market.

Video: "Beauty is Embarrassing" trailer - The work of Wayne White

A new documentary is coming out entitled Beauty is Embarrassing which follows the life and times of cartoonist, painter, director, sculptor, puppeteer, designer, animator, musician, etc. Wayne White.  Some know White for his concept & character design work on Pee Wee's Playhouse, others would recognize his art directorial work on classic music videos such as Peter Gabriel - Big Time & Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight.

More recently he has been re purposing old landscape lithographs & paintings by enhancing them with 3D messages that blend seamlessly into the artwork such as "Star Fucker" & "I Will Smash This Painting Over Your Fucking Head".

The movie will be debuting at this years SXSW and looks to be a good peek into White's world and an interesting exploration into the drive and personal goal of what makes artists tick.
