Listen: Danny Johnson – “Change” (Danny Brown Blu & Mainframe)

Danny Brown, Blu and Mainframe have completed a collaborative album together under the moniker Danny Johnson. The project will feature raps from Brown and production from Blu and Mainframe who both share the name Johnson, hence the name.  Our first taste comes in the form of “Change” which sees Danny doing his thing in a slightly different manner than usual(he’s not usually so subdued). Danny Johnson have an entire album coming out soon on New World Color. Give their first single a spin below.  On a side note Danny Brown and the Bruiser Brigade have plans to drop an EP next with with ScionAV.

Blu Mural Athens, Greece

Photos via the artist.
Blu has landed in Greece to give his special commentary on the economic crisis happening there as the country I call home heads towards an inevitable default. Blue seems to be hitting a wide range of European cities on his road trip as he has made his way to and from countries and cities like Italy, Bologna, Palestra, Jesi, Krakow, Poznań, Fabriano, Cologne, Grottaglie, Valencia, and Spain. Happy to see Greece made the cut, sad for the reasons.

Blu – “Megunica” documentary

Blu's infamous "Megunica" documentary finally made its way online in its complete entirety! The film first made rounds in 2009 or so and has won multiple awards at various film festivals. Wired Italy has now made the entire film, all 83 minutes of it, available.
For those unfamiliar, the footage follows Blu on a trip to South America through the countries of Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Argentina. The film follows the Italian artist And his crew as he paints and interacts with other people and artists. As a bonus, you should read Wired’s interview with the director – Lorenzo Fonda.
