Fang Island dropped a brand new video from their recently released LP, Major.  We shared an audio stream of  “Sisterly” back in June before the album even hit the stores but just in case you didn’t hear it back then, or need a refresher before you have you have made up your mind about the band,  you check out the Behn Fannin directed video below….

Listen: Fang Island – “Major” (Full Album Stream)

As previously reported Brooklyn’s Fang Island will release their latest album, Major, on July 24th through Sargent House ,you can hear it in its entirety now, via NPR.

The bands 2010 self-titled record had a great blend of churning guitar harmonies and fret board acrobatics that would even  make Steve Vai happy.  By all indications, Major expands upon the formula adding in more complexity and vocals (which were minimal on the debut). Click HERE to enjoy the 11 track, 45 minute long, sophomore album in full.

Listen: Tumblewoof – “M▲JOR”

Tumblewoof is a mashup artist that takes little snippets from songs by such artists as Feist, Drake, AC/DC, Kid Cudi, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, The Roots and many more and then melds them together for one seemless mix. You’re familiar with this process, think closer to Girl Talk in how rapid fire each sample is than a one off song the blends two artists together. Tumblewoof doesn’t always take the obvious route on  M JOR giving this tiny mix a big punch. Give a listen below and download for a price of your choice if interested, and yes you can get it for free if you so choose.
