Video: Bosnian Rainbows – “Turtle Neck”

Bosnian Rainbows is a new band featuring Teri Gender Bender (Le Butcherettes), Nicci Kasper (Kudu, KRS-ONE), Deantoni Parks (John Cale, The Mars Volta), and Omar Rodriguez Lopez (The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In). The group formed during the summer of 2012 and will release their self-titled debut LP June 25th 2013 on Sargent House. While the four members respective pedigrees are as distinctive as the names they're attached to, the group itself is an entity all its own, unlike any other project any of them have been in. Check our lead single “Turtle Neck” who’s video is made up of photographs taken around the world while on tour.

Fang Island dropped a brand new video from their recently released LP, Major.  We shared an audio stream of  “Sisterly” back in June before the album even hit the stores but just in case you didn’t hear it back then, or need a refresher before you have you have made up your mind about the band,  you check out the Behn Fannin directed video below….

As previously reported Brooklyn’s Fang Island will release their latest album, Major, on July 24^th through Sargent House ,you can hear it in its entirety now, via NPR.

The bands 2010 self-titled record had a great blend of churning guitar harmonies and fret board acrobatics that would even  make Steve Vai happy.  By all indications, Major expands upon the formula adding in more complexity and vocals (which were minimal on the debut). About a month back we shared some new music from Brooklyn’s Fang Island in the form of “Asunder.” The tune will be appearing on the bands forthcoming sophomore effort, Major, as will today’s track. “Sisterly” continues down the same path of air guitar warship expected of the band.   Major will be released on July 24th via Sargent House.

Riff warriors Fang Island have unveiled the first track from their forthcoming new album, Major, which is released on July 24th via Sargent House. In the time since their debut album the guys seem to have kept their trademark sound intact so expect plenty of fingerboard acrobatics and soaring vocals. Check out "Asunder" below...

Download: Hella - "Headless" and "Yubacore"

After a short stint as a full band the postmathrock outfit know as Hella is back to being just the two founding members, Zach Hill and Spencer Seim. The duo is set to release its latest album, Tripper via the Sargent House label on August 30th. Here are two tracks, “Headless” and “Yubacore” the band has dropped pre-release and I am happy to say they are a return to the early Hella style.
