Happy July 4th!, we should be seeing a fare share of mixtapes dropping throughout the day on the internet as the holiday has become a somewhat unofficial day for artists to share  something new with their fans. And on that note Childish Gambino has dropped his latest. Royalty was released, as promised, bright and early this morning and with all the previews we shared leading up to it you should be familiar with the large list of guest stars on this one. Truth be told we didn’t even know some of them and there are some surprises. Featuring people like Beck, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Bun B, Ghostface, Danny Brown, Haim, and Tina Fay you know this is going to be a must listen for fans. Listen: Childish Gambino Featuring Beck – “Silk Pillow”

So this is pretty random. Childish Gambino and Beck have teamed up for “Silk Pillow,” which will presumably appear on the rappers forthcoming mixtape. Beck not only raps on the tune but co-produced it with Gambino as well adding some major credibility to the project for those that need it. I know I keep on saying this but really now, how many cuts from this project are going to leak before we get the full album?

Last week we got to hear the Heems-featuring cut, “Tell Me,” this week Childish Gambino lets loose another new tune called “Black Faces.” This one features Nipsey Hussle and production by Boi-1da. Look out for a new mixtape to drop soon before Gambino has run out of tracks to leak.

It’s been about a week, which means yet another ChildishGambino tune has leaked. This one features Heems from Das Racist and is titled “Tell Me”.  Like many of the recent drops “Tell Me” signifies a change in sound for the rapper. What ever the case two of my favorite MC’s collaborating is always a good thing. Check the radio rip out below…

Yet another new Childish Gambino song to share this evening in the form of “We Ain’t Them.” Gambino pulling the double duty with this one acting as vocalist and co-producer. There is a definite change in direction in these last couple of songs, things seem to have gotten more serious. What say's you?

Childish Gambino has been steadily dropping news tunes as of late, some rumored to be from his forthcoming mix tape while others have been confirmed by the rapper to not be appearing on the tentatively titled Royalty. With “Unnecessary” Gambino goes for something a little darker than we are used to from the often light hearted rapper.  Donald also produced this one and gets some help on the mic from Schoolboy Q, enjoy below…

Video: Childish Gambino débuts Four New Songs At The Switch

Last night, rapper/funny man Childish Gambino performed a secret show in LA as a part of “The Switch,” the latest live component of La Blogotheque. Included in his set were four new, untitled, songs that will presumably appear on his upcoming mixtape tentatively entitled Royalty. You can check out videos of each of the cuts below, note that the names of these songs are unconfirmed and any labels are purely speculative.
