Video: Beavis and Butt-Head Re-launch

Mike Judge’s "Beavis and Butt-head" retuned to TV on Thursday night after a 14 year absence. The episode, "Werewolves of Highland" was the first new episode since the show stopped airing in 1997 and finds the boys right where we left them, sitting on the couch offering their commentary on tv. Last night's episode, for instance, finds Beavis and Butt-head watching MGMT's "Kids" video and commenting on a Skrillex clip. They also watch one of the Twilight films, then decide to become vampires and werewolves to get girls.

Video: Masters of the Universe?

There is trouble brewing in Eternia. Trouble over who is the real master of the universe,... the He-Man universe. Toy Masters is a documentary that covers the creation and history of the He-Man franchise (toys, cartoons, etc..) as well the ongoing battle over who actually created the brand.
I was a huge He-Man dork, had Castle Grayskull and watched the cartoon religiously. I never questioned the over the top homo-eroticism of it or Aryan uber human undertone (sporting the Nazi Grand Iron cross on his chestplate). I'm happy to see a documentary on the subject in which the participants seem happy to talk shit about each other. Check out a 7 minute preview below...

Mashup

Todd Slater just released two killer posters for a Gene Ween show in New Orleans. 18 x 24 – 4 color silkscreen – S/N edition of 90. Both have sold out but should be available through Ebay and various other popular print sites. – "For this series I combined parts of familiar and iconic cartoon characters from Gener’s youth (and mine) into a one of a kind super mutant."
