Video: Dillinger Escape Plan - "Parasitic Twins"

Wow it’s been petty dead on the net the last couple of days but thankfully the Dillinger Escape Plan have just released their video for the Option Paralysis closing track, "Parasitic Twins". The David Merenyi directed number sees an elderly lady working in a factory shop  with water jets to create a plaque for the band, from there things just get weirder.

Ben Weinman has long  been the principal creative force behind The Dillinger Escape Plan, doubling as the band’s lead guitarist and as well as their manager. It was due to this that Loyola University New Orleans invited Weinman along for a 45-minute long interview about the obstacles and challenges that The Dillinger Escape Plan have faced as professional musicians in the span of their careers.  The video is very informative and well worth watching.

Members of Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mars Volta and Janes Addiction form supergroup

A new supergroup has been formed worth getting excited about. The currently un-named project includes Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, former Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen and ex-Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery.

Since the members of the project live on opposite sides of the country, progress been a bit slow. "We tried to get together and do an album, but there's been no time," Hinds recently told Noisecreep. "We want to record crazy stuff and Ben is working on that, but it's been hard to get together."

Even though the project is officially nameless, Hinds wants to call it Giraffe Tongue "because they look sick." Yes, he's speaking about the actual tongue of a giraffe.
