Listen/Download: Hudson Mohawk – “Slow Jams 8”

And like clockwork Hudson Mohawk shared the latest volume of his annual mixtape series and celebration of all things love, Slow Jams 8. This year HudMo even included his own take on the genre with an extra track in the download file titled ‘Forever 1", feat. Olivier Daysoul and Dorian Concept. You got to give it to the Glasgow producer he takes this shit seriously.

Onomatopoeia Exclusive Download: /ˈjedˌīak/ - “Ludacris Mohawk” (Ludacris vs. Hudson Mohawk) & “Swimming Chimes” (Kendrick Lamar vs. Hudson Mohawk)

This week’s exclusive remix comes in the form of a double header with Hudson Mohawk’sChimes” acting as the inspiration. I tried a bunch of combos, several of them worked, many did not but these two were probably my favorite from the lot. “Ludacris Mohawk” is the cleaner and older of the two  but I’ve been wanting to use Kendrick’s “SwimmingPools” for a while now and the two fit well so despite some of that high-hat residue remaining I figured just do it! Stream, download and share from below…

Listen: Azealia Banks - "Jumanji" (prod. by Hudson Mohawke and Nick Hook)

Azeilia Banks, the twitter happy, immensely talented female rapper with an attitude (problem?) knows how to pick her producers.  In the recent past she's worked with likes of bass music all stars such as Lone and Machinedrum, yet on her latest single she enlisted recent Kanye West collaborator Hudson Mohawke, alongside Nick Hook, to deliver one of the most massive beats you've heard being rhymed over in a long long time. HudMo's even got tympanies and steel drums in the same song!  The whole affair sounds like an over the top hip-hop circus act.  Listen to or download "Jumanji" below:
