Chvrches – “Get Away”

Zane Lowe and the BBC have teamed up for a project that frankly is kind of weird. Lowe will be “rescoring” Drive by curating artists for new music to go with the film on a BBC Three airing this October 30th at 10 p.m. The project features new music from artist such as BANKS, SBTRKT, The Neighbourhood and Chvrches amongst others. 

“Get Away” is the the first new music we have heard from Chvrches in quite some time given the rapid fire nature of how music is distributed and shared now days on the internet. It’s not my favorite song from the band, I find it less appealing than pretty much every track on The Bones Of What You Believe but it’s a good sign that the group is working on new material. Video: Chvrches – “Recover”

While it is commonplace for a band to re-shoot an existing video when more success has come I find it strange that Chvrches re-released an alternate video for an already pretty well known single.  While the original clip wasn't the most exciting video ever it most certainly was more innovative then the remixed visuals for single “Recover” which is made up of tour footage, thing is it's a great song so who cares?

Chvrches have shared a new music video for their track “Lies” off their exceptional and super catchy Bones of What You Believe LP.  The clip was directed by Sing J. Lee who has worked with the band in the past.
