Chvrches – “Get Away”

Zane Lowe and the BBC have teamed up for a project that frankly is kind of weird. Lowe will be “rescoring” Drive by curating artists for new music to go with the film on a BBC Three airing this October 30th at 10 p.m. The project features new music from artist such as BANKS, SBTRKT, The Neighbourhood and Chvrches amongst others. 

“Get Away” is the the first new music we have heard from Chvrches in quite some time given the rapid fire nature of how music is distributed and shared now days on the internet. It’s not my favorite song from the band, I find it less appealing than pretty much every track on The Bones Of What You Believe but it’s a good sign that the group is working on new material. Lots of Bat For Lashes posts as we draw closer to the official release of LP number 3, The Haunted Man. In promotion of the event Natasha Khan stopped by Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show the other night to drop off this cover of Rihanna’s smash-hit “We Found Love” putting her own touch on it. “Original Don” is the name of the brand new single from Switch and Diplo’s electro Jamaican dancehall project Major Lazer.  BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe premiered what appears to be the final version, and you can give it your own spin below. But first we have to call attention to the great Don Draper minipulation art that accompanied the single!
