Video: Queens of the Stone Age - "The Vampyre of Time and Memory"

Queens Of The Stone Age may have released their Boneface-animated versions of Like Clockwork tracks earlier this year when the album first dropped but today the band shared an alternate video for the track “The Vampyre Of Time And Memory.” The video was directed by Kii Arens and Jason Trucco and produced by the Creators Project so you know its quality and as is the trend these days there is also an interactive version you can check out HERE.

Video: Inara George - "No one Knows" (QOTSA Cover)

I usually find this type of releases gimmicky by nature, take a popular rock song and essentially turn it into some easy listening experience where fans of the original can wink and nod at each other in some sort of irony based approval; but uncovered project seems to be a little more sincere in its execution and even features some Onomatopoeia favorites. Producer Olivier Libaux’s (Nouvelle Vague) concept behind the record is to take choice tracks from across Queens Of the Stone Age‘s discography and turn them into female vocal-driven bossanova renditions. Take a look at the video for "No One Knows", as sang by Inara George to get a taste as well as an album preview and if you like what you hear you can order the limited edition lP which features Alela Diane, Rosmary Standley, Katherine Whalen, Youn Sun Nah and many more HERE.

Video: Queens of the Stone Age – “If I Had A Tail”

Another day and another Queens Of the Stone Age video. Having now heard the album in full I can say that one of my favorite tunes on Like Clockwork is “If I Had A Tail” which is today's featured video from the LP. Question, is that a Snake Plissken tribute 24 seconds in? Like everything we have seen so far this features artwork from cover artist Boneface and was directed by Liam Brazier. Like Clockwork drops on June 4th via Matador

Video:Queens of the Stone Age – “Keep Your Eyes Peeled”

In the age of artists trying to combat early album leaks bands have become more and more innovative in how they choose to introduce their new works to the public. Case in point are Queens of the Stone Age who have have shared yet another ghoulish animated video for a track from their forthcoming album, ...Like Clockwork, out June 4 via Matador. If we are going to be getting a video for each track I’m all for it.

This one is for "Keep Your Eyes Peeled"and Like the "Kalopsia" and "I Appear Missing" the imagery was handled by artist Boneface with animation by Liam Brazier.

Nick Oliveri vs. S.W.A.T.

Always the wild one Nick Oliveri, formerly of Queens of the Stone Age and currently of Kyuss Lives!, was arrested last night following a standoff with members of the Los Angeles country S.W.A.T. team. TMZ.com reports that police arrived to Oliveri’s house last night after his girlfriend reported a disturbance. When the 39-year old rocker refused to let police enter the house or have his girlfriend leave it, a S.W.A.T. team was called and a two-hour standoff ensued. When Oliveri finally did surrender, he was found in possession of a fully loaded rifle. He was then promptly arrested and charged with a felony of domestic violence.
