The latest Big Boi album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors unfortunately didn't do it for me. I was a big fan of the previous Son of Chico Dusty album but this one leaned too much of indie rock influences and seemed muddled and all over the place. One of the stand out tracks though is "In the A" which is an ode to the ATL featuring T.I. & Ludacris.
The video is a pretty standard hiphop video with the 3 of them standing around w/ a bunch neighborhood dudes and random shots of Atlanta. If you are from the ATL it can feel pretty nostalgic, if not.. mehh... at least it is shot and editing with rapid cuts, keeping one from tuning out. The director is a Greek boyz... Alexi Papalexopoulos.
