Video: Angel Haze – “Gossip Folks”

Angel Haze drops a video for Classick mixtape highlight and Missy Elliot classic “Gossip Folks”. The video was directed by Arnaud Muller who has worked with Haze in the past on her video for “Shit I Don’t Like.” Straight forward stuff on this one as Angel dances and raps on a rooftop.

Listen/Download: Angel Haze - "Classick" Mixtape

Angel Haze returned to the scene today as promised with a new six-song Mixtape entitled Classick. The New York based femcee with the quick tongue gets ultra-personal On “Cleanin’ Out My Closet", which has been making the rounds on the net this week, and sees the 21-year old rapping over an Eminem beat of the same name about the sexual abuse she suffered as a young girl. Bitch Bad, Gossip Folk, Song Cry, Love My Life and Doo Wop (That Thing) round out the effort in a less heavy manner using backing tracks from the likes of Missy Elliot and Lauryn Hill among others, but are every bit as clever and insightful as anything we have heard from the Reservation mixtape. Video: Angel Haze - "New York"

So this one came out several weeks ago surrounded by some buzz due to a beef with Azealia Banks but I never got around to posting it, in the time since I’ve heard Angel Haze’s excellent free mixtape, Reservations, about a dozen times. So if that’s not a stamp of approval then check out the video for “New York” where a masked Angel haunts tunnels and the New York City subway system in the Adrienne Nicole-directed video and maybe your mind will be changed.
