Video: Youth Lagoon - "Mute"

Youth Lagoon has shared the new video for "Mute," from the recently released sophomore LP, Wondrous Bughouse. The visuals were directed by Tyler T. Williams (who also worked on the clips for Youth Lagoon’s "July" and"Montana". What we get is a series of strange images and events that wouldn't be out of place in Twin Peaks.

Having already shared the fantastic “Mute” and “Dropla” from Youth Lagoon’s forthcoming sophomore effort , Wondrous Bughouse, you should have been hungry for more, I know I was as both aforementioned  tunes offered an impressive amount of growth from the already capable Trevor Powers. It’s been a very long while since we heard any new material from Trevor Powers, aka Youth Lagoon. A new LP entitled Wondrous Bughouse is scheduled to drop on March 5 in the U.S via Fat Possum and we got the first taste from the album, the six-minute track "Dropla".

Video: El-P - "The Full Retard"

It’s been a busy day in the world of music videos and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to calm down just yet. El-P drops his first audio visual treatment from his just released Cancer For Cure Lp. I’ve already stated my allegiance to the record and if you haven’t heard it yet make sure you do so ASAP. Directed by Timothy Saccenti, “The Full Retard,” see’s El and a furry friend raising hell in NYC, taking part in all the classics, including drug use, partying, guns, hookers, violence and more.

Video: El-P (ft. Nick Diamonds) – “Stay Down” On David Letterman May 15, 2012

Master producer El-P stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman last night to promote his forthcoming record. El brought Islands frontman Nick Diamonds along to do “Stay Down,” a song from his excellent new album Cancer For Cure, due out next week. Diamonds guested on vocals and synth, alongside El’s live band who have the difficult task of recreating the ultra layered bombastic beats that El is known for in a live setting, thankfully they killed it.

El-P returns next month with the long-awaited solo album on Fat Possum entitled Cancer For Cure... We’ve already heard “The Full Retard,” and “Drones Over Brooklyn” and now El has shared “Tougher Colder Killer.” The tune guest-stars Atlanta based rapper Killer Mike, who’s own album is being produced by EL as well as indie rapper Despot. Truth be told I’ve been rocking the full album and if you are an EL-P fan you won’t be disappointed, check out the stream below…..

El-P will put out his new LP, Cancer for Cure, May 22 via Fat Possum. Although the MC/Producer is ever busy, Cancer will be the artist’s first solo album since I'll Sleep When You're Dead,  which was released five years ago.  The record will feature appearances from recent collaborator Killer Mike, Danny Brown, Interpol's Paul Banks, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, and others. "The Full Retard", which some might remember from the comedy Tropic Thunder,  is the first single from the album.

Mellow Hype video "64"

Mellow Hype of Odd Future fame just released the video for the track "64" off of their soon to be re-released LP BLACKENEDWHITE , the original is still available as a free download on the Odd Future Tumblr. A few months ago, the duo signed a deal with Fat Possum to release a revamped, remastered physical version of the LP, which is due July 12 with new cover art as well as a few new songs.
