Listen: The Big Pink - "Stay Gold" (AraabMUZIK remix)
A while back we posted The Big Pink's "Stay Gold" single and accompanying video clip. Never in our wildest dreams would we have expected AraabMUZIK to toss it in his MPC blender and deliver a banging remix for it. Listen to or download both the original and the remix below, the latter being probably the most pensive track we've heard from this young producer (who by the way just produced a 50 Cent track) signaling a promising versatility we were previously unaware of:

Watch: The Big Pink - "Stay Gold"
The Big Pink's "A Brief History of Love" came out of nowhere yet quickly became one of my favorite records of 2009. I always thought they sounded like a british Tough Alliance with big stadium hooks-a-plenty and a more 'in-your-face' punk atittude. Their sophomore album on 4AD "Future This", which is due in January 2012, sounds like it's going in the same direction. The infectious first single off that album "Stay Gold" has a video which you can watch below:
