Current golden child and Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$ dropped his debut
mixtape 1999 today. Featuring the 17 year-old laying down rhymes over
a handful of borrowed beats from the likes of DOOM, Dilla and KNXWLEDGE amongst
others, 1999 is a solid effort from the emcee that will most certainly
find it’s audience with fans of 90’s NY hip hop or more specifically Tribe Called Quest.
