Video: Clark – "Winter Linn”

Clark's latest self-titled LP is a real monster that hits all the right spots. With each listen it brings some new realized nuance that I hadn't picked up on previously, making it a treasure trove of micro-surprises for all those like-minded headphone jocks out there.  Director Christopher Hewitt takes on video duties for “Winter Linn” which in my opinion successfully acts an interpretation of Clark's vision for his new album - "music like sculpture."

Scottish producer and Warp Records roster member, Rustie, has announced Green Language, the 13-track follow-up to 2011′s Glass Swords. Our first preview of the upcoming record is the rave-vibrant “Raptor,” which continues to move the Scott’s sound into even more whimsical places than before. Look for Green Language to drop on August 25 via Warp Records and enjoy some accompanying visuals with the track below courtesy of Daniel Swan.

Listen: Aphex Twin - "Caustic Window" (Full LP Stream)

Unless you have been living in a cave, or in less dramatic fashion simply don't consider yourself a fan, you probably know that the long lost Aphex Twin album under his Caustic Window alias was “shipped” out yesterday  to backers of the hugely successful  Kickstarter campaign.  For those who don't know the history behind the release back in April, a test pressing of an unreleased 1994 Aphex Twin album called Caustic Window surfaced online. It was originally listed for sale for an absurd $13,500 on Discogs, but before it was sold, a Kickstarter was launched where fans could pay for a digital copy of the album; and like myself many did exactly that, raising $67,424 on a goal of $9,300.  Of course roughly ten hours after the music was distributed copies have made their way online for download and streaming for all those to enjoy that found the $12 asking price too steep.

Outside of the tunes, the collection ends off with some charming prank calls, giving a real human touch to the otherwise mysterious and reclusive artist; a perfect way to end off an album that found it's release through such an over-the-top manner.

Listen: Jackson and His Computerband - "Vista" Hudson Mohawke remix

Hundson Mohawke reworks “Vista” from his Parisian Warp Records label mate Jackson and His Computerband. The tune will officially appear on Jackson’s forthcoming EP titled G.I. Jane (Fill Me Up) due out November 11th and by all accounts is a pretty great marriage of the two artists styles. That being said the cover art is pretty exceptional too.

Video: Mount Kimbie – “Home Recording”

Mount Kimbie dropped a new video earlier in the week for “Home Recording,” the duo most certainly refined their sound on the Cold Spring Fault Less Youth album, vocals took much more of a center stage then in the past drawing them comparisons to fellow countrymen James Blake at times. Kai Campos, one half of the duo, said the band aimed to “create something that was bigger than the locations it was shot in” with the video.

Listen: Mount Kimbie – “Made To Stray”

UK duo Mount Kimbie have apparently rapped up their new LP and after a three year gap since their debut, Crooks & Lovers, it couldn’t come fast enough. Our first taste of the record, which is scheduled to drop in May via Warp, comes via a radio rip of “Made to Stray” a track that finds the duo incorporating a bouncy beat with some melodic vocals coming in during the second half of the tune. We can’t wait to hear some more proper previews of this and will obviously keep you informed as more information is made available.
