Video: Major Lazer – “Bubble But”

You never know what you are gonna get out of a Major Lazer album, sure it’s always a good time but depending on your tastes it might not always be your kind of good time. “Bubble Butt” off of the major’s sophomore LP, Free The Universe is definitely my kind of good time. The tune was an instant standout the first time I spun the record so I was happy to see a video popped up for it today. The visuals for the tune which features Bruno Mars, 1 Chainz, Mystic and Tyga keeps things over the top and fun as always and was directed by comedian Eric Wareheim.

Video: Major Lazer - "Get Free"

Major Lazer is set to release their sophomore effort entitled, Free The Universe, in the near future.  We already shared the audio for “Get Free” not long ago, but today we get the steamy visuals to the laid back jam featuring Amber Coffman from Dirty Projectors on vocals. This is probably the most straight forward video I’ve ever seen from Diplo but enjoyable none the less.   Free The Universe is set to drop Nov. 6 via Mad Decent.

Listen: M.I.A. ft. Missy Elliott & Rye Rye – “Bad Girls" (Switch Remix)

With “Bad Girls” we saw a return to form from M.I.A. and sticking with the winning formula of the past she has enlisted Switch (one half of Major Lazer) to provide a remix. With guest verses from Missy Elliott(welcome back) and young Baltimore upstart Rye Rye this one is a winner. An EP entitled Bad Girls – The Remixes, featuring appearances from Missy E, Rye Rye and Azealia Banks over reworks from Switch, Danja and Leo Justi will be released July 6th digitally, or if you’re feel like dropping a little coin you can pick up this exclusive USB key necklace.

Major Lazer - "German Elefant Killer"

Diplo and Switch are currently hard at work in Jamaica on the new Major Lazer LP. But in the meantime here is a previously unreleased song from the "Guns Don't Kill People Lazers do" sessions.  "German Elefant Killer" is described as a "New (Old) Song" by the producers. I'm surprised the track was left off the lp as it's pretty darn great, watch out for those killer basslines rude boy
