Death Grips officially called it quits earlier in
the year with the promise of new music before year’s end and it would seem we
are seeing signs of the projects imminent release as 2014’s end fast
approaches. Taken from Jenny
Death, the second half of their upcoming double album the powers that
b, “Inanimate Sensation” sounds a little bigger and bolder than a lot of
the material on the already shared Niggas On The Moon disc. The visuals for
“Inanimate Sensation” is as with all things Death Grips, unique. Taking
place on a fallen jumbotron that has crashed through the floor of a basketball
court, the video flicks between distorted computer graphics and MC Ride. Word
on the street is that the LP will drop on December 27th which is precisely why
I don't release my favorite albums of the year list until the year is officially
over.

Video: Björk – “Mutual Core”
News on artists seems to come in pairs now days as the trend
has been I post something and not 24 hours later something new and relevant
appears from the very same artist. Today’s example comes from Björk who’s
remix album was shared in full yesterday only to see a brand new video from the
Icelandic singer pop up today. The visuals
for Biophilia's "Mutual Core" were directed by Andrew Thomas Huang (who
also did the artwork for the Biophilia remix
album) and see’s Björk in a sand pit, surrounded by colorful rocky creature’s shape-shifting and exploding around her.

Video: Björk – “Hollow”
Björk dropped the latest video from her 2011 LP Biophilia. The video for “Hollow,” which premiered on NPR today, is a computer-generated affair exploring the inside of the human body. The clip is a collaboration with the biomedical animator Drew Berry, and makes use of molecular DNA and protein models.
Berry tells NPR that the video is an "exploration of the microscopic and molecular landscapes inside Björk's body." Björk described "Hollow" to NPR as "a Halloween song and quite gothic," conjuring a feeling that comes with "thinking about your ancestors and DNA."

Björk's Custom Instrument, "The Gameleste"
Here is a nice little video showcasing the creation of unique piece Björk has commissioned. The instrument is dubbed “The Gameleste” and essentially fuses a vintage orchestral celesta with bronze bars and a MIDI activation.
Björk's new lp Biophilia is due out September 26th.
