Listen: Jam City – “Crisis” & “Unhappy”

Jam City is set to return with his sophomore LP in the New Year and producer recently shared two tracks, “Crisis” and “Unhappy.” The tunes are quite a departure from the Jack's last LP which was super crisp minimalist techno, this time around there is a much warmer feel, living in a space somewhere between his existing work and chillwave music.

Slow Magic has been killing it as of late with new music and the producer continues the winning streak with another new tune titled “Waited 4 U.” Showcasing his trademark tropical synths and crunchy percussion the elements you have come to know and love from the producer stay intact and make me hungry for the full length out September 9th.

It’s been a long while since sharing anything official from SlowMagic but the mysterious producer recently  signed with Downtown Records and is gearing up to release some new music.  His latest single, “Girls,” is a characteristically chilled out tune that fits perfectly with the warm weather of summer.

Listen: Dream Koala - "Ocean"

We got something new from French producer Yndi Da Silva, aka Dream Koala. “Ocean” continues down the same path Koala has been carving for himself in the chillwave genre with it’s hazy and mesmerizing tones and feel living up the the dream” part of his moniker. As Yndi himself states below this is the first track we have heard from the producer where his vocals are prominent. Give the track a listen below and look out for more smoky journey’s from the Parisian to premiere in 2013.

 “Kind of excited to share this one with you. This is the first track where we can clearly listen to my voice so… Hope you’re going to enjoy it, maybe it will sound weird at first.”

Video: Toro Y Moi – “Say That”

Toro Y Moi opens the new year with a video for “Say That,” which will appear on the artists new LP, Anything In Return, that drops on January 22. The tune and album as a whole has a more dancey feel to it than Underneath The Pine, and for my money benefits from it.

French producer Yndi Da Silva, aka Dream Koala, puts a hypnotic twist on a remix for rock/pop band Swim Deep‘s “Honey.” If you missed it the first time round’ the producer dropped an EP entitled BLUR via Highlife Recordings a little over a month ago, as an extra bonus I figured why not throw up a stream of that as well…

21-year-old Hard Mix made a massive, ten-minute disco epic by weaving together the sounds of dropping a woodblock, slapping a pool with a water flipper and angels the result is “I Wonder Why You Cry.” New Yorkers can see Hard Mix during CMJ. He’ll play 10/21 at Pianos and 10/22 at Glasslands.
