Listen: Boothroyd - "Idle Hours EP"

Tri Angle's latest signing Boothroyd is set to release his debut four-track EP for the influential label next week. Idle Hours is more quality music that lives in that space  in-between dreams and nightmares, cityscapes and rural areas, dark and lite, ambient and noisy. If your the kind of person who occupy's those same spaces then you should be all over this.

As previously reported UK producer Joshua Lear, aka Evian Christ, will be releasing a new EP on March 17^th via Tri Angle records titled Waterfall. Today we can share the title track with you,  a glitchy industrial affair that fits in nicely with his  recent work on Yeezus.

While we have been fans of UK producer Joshua Leary for quite some time now the spotlight will shine even brighter on Evian Christ when he returns in 2014 with a new EP on Tri Angle records called Waterfall. Obviously Evian’s star has risen since lending some production duties on Kanye’s Yeezus and it’s well deserved. The EP was recorded partially in Evian’s hometown of Ellesmere Port, England and partially in New York, you can check out “Salt Carousel” now below…

Listen: Forest Swords - “The Weight of Gold"

Last month we shared the first taste of Forest Swords upcoming debut LP on Tri Angle records via “Thor’s Stone.” Today we got a second sampling from the recording alias of the Merseyside, U.K. native who birth name is Matthew Barnes by the name of “Weight of Gold.” If you like what you have heard so far you can pick up the record which is entitled Engravings when it is released next month on Aug. 26 HERE.

For those who don’t know, Forest Swords is a musical composer, performer and producer from The Wirral, United Kingdom. His music is notable for containing elements of R&B, dubstep, ambient, post-rock and electronic music. Today, he's shared a new track by the name of "Thor's Stone", off an upcoming release for the always great Tri Angle label, check it below…

As previously reported producer Chris Dexter, aka oOoOO, is launching his own label, Nihjgt Feelings, and with it a new o0o00 LP. “Mouchette” is another first-class slice of instrumental goodness featuring distorted vocal snippets and some appropriately moody strings. Without Your Love drops June 24^th.

Listen: oOoOO - "Stay Here" [ft. M.L.]

Producer Chris Dexter, aka oOoOO, is launching his own label, Nihjgt Feelings, which is "currently based on the Turkish island of Bozcaada". The label starts things off with some new original material by oOoOO. “Stay Here” will appear on  oOoOO forthcoming debut LP, Without Your Love, which drops June 24 and features M.L. on vocals. Another impressive and seductive piece from Chris.

Listen: oOoOO - “FoRLorN DuB”

Bay Area producer oOoOO returned today with a new single, “FoRLorN DuB”. The minimalist track was accompanied by an equally minimalist and murky video that enhances the spooky vibe that o0o00 is so well known for. No word on if this signifies a new LP is on the way or not but mystery has always worked well for Mr. Dexter. 

Download: Balam Acab – “Club Water Discuss EP”

Tri Angle Records producer, Alec Koone, aka Balam Acab, has released a free EP consisting of 5 tracks.

It was inspired, the musician says, by “spending many months alone in an underwater hotel room in Dubai”.

He adds that it’s “unofficial” and “non-indicative of the direction he’s moving towards but rather where he’s been.

Back in September of 2012 Bristol producer Sebastian Gainsborough released his debut album, Order of Noise, as Vessel via Tri Angle Records. The album was a collection of dark and dense electronic music that fit well with Tri Angles existing roster and vibe. An outtake from Order of Noise, "Raven Banner" further explores the sounds established on the LP with its deep bass and mysterious whispers that is quite comparable to fellow non dance electronic artist, Actress.

Danny Brown - "Grown UP" " (oOoOO remix)

San Francisco’s oOoOO has been pretty quiet as of late but returned today with this absolutely killer remix of Danny Brown’s “Grown Up,” implementing some of his spooky trademark sounds and change-up's. Hopefully this starts a wave of some new original material from the producer in 2013.

Video: WIFE – “Trails”

Yesterday we shared a new mix from recent Tri Angle signee WIFE and today as luck would have it a new video dropped from his forthcoming Stoic EP, out next week on Left Bank. The abstract video is made up of James Kelly’s own footage of sea anemones shot during his studies some years back at university and giving the video a vaguely menacing ambiance, as he sings and bellows "A trial is not an act of…/ The guilt is not an act of…" amongst rumbling bass and warm synth static.

Sticking with the Tri Angle roster we also have a new mix from James Kelly aka WIFE who is gearing up to release his début ep for the label next week with Stoic. James made his name in music as a member of Irish black metal band Altar of Plagues but like many black metal artists also finds comfort in producing electronic music. WIFE's mood and feel is most certainly on the darker, droney, side of things than your average club banger is as is evidence in the eclectic 46-minute mix he did for ClashMusic that you can stream and download below…

Listen: How to Dress Well - "Total Loss" Full LP Stream

Wow big day for streams as Brooklyn’s Tom Krell, aka How To DressWell, returns with Total Loss, officially due September 18th.  We got a full LP stream you can  listen to right now. So far “Cold Nites” is my personal favorite on the record, showcasing the trademark ghostly, deconstructed R&B with great results. On a side note “Say My Name or Say Whatever” seems to use the same sample as Onomatopoeia’s very own contributor, Red Cup! Damn you about a year behind son!
