Listen: HU₵₵I – “404 EP”

Hu₵₵i dropped a new EP titled 404 earlier in the week that I’ve been enjoying quite a bit on the ol’ headphones. Even though the Brighton producer calls the release an EP it is twenty-two tracks and over an hour long.  You can grab the whole thing right now for a name your own price exchange, but it be worth it even at retail price. Plenty of killer tracks, including some I’ve shared in the past. New early highlights for me include "Mula" and late album cuts “Thir$t” and “Moon.”  Give  it a spin below and pick the whole thing up HERE.

Listen: Boothroyd - "Idle Hours EP"

Tri Angle's latest signing Boothroyd is set to release his debut four-track EP for the influential label next week. Idle Hours is more quality music that lives in that space  in-between dreams and nightmares, cityscapes and rural areas, dark and lite, ambient and noisy. If your the kind of person who occupy's those same spaces then you should be all over this.

Listen/Download: Youthquaker – “BitTorrent Bundle EP”

Definitely some interesting  and experimental things going on with the production from Youthquaker on their new ep...

Youthquake was a term coined by Vogue’s Diana Vreeland; shorthand for the social disruption of the 60s. What started as a moment in time became a sprawling movement: a shared belief in self-expression.

Illangelo and Phlo Finister’s Youthquaker sets out to recapture this spirit. The project from the GRAMMY Award-winning producer (and The Weeknd collaborator) is cinematic, textured, and timeless: 90s trip hop + the sound of the 70s. Your first listen is here. Youthquaker is debuting three new tracks from their upcoming album, Projections, as a free BitTorrent Bundle. Download the Bundle, and unlock the movement: in song, video, and art.

Video: Broods - "Never Gonna Change"

New Zealand electro-pop act Broods have shared a video from their recently released EP for “Never Gonna Change.”  The glitchy tune, with its hazy lush vocals, finds the perfect visual match in a clip that sees a cursed man struggling for love.

Video: Twigs: "Weak Spot" & "Breathe"

With no warning what so ever Twigs released a 4-track EP which features the previously heard "Ache" and "Hide" along two new tracks. The mysterious artist that shares a sound someplace in-between the bedroom R&B sounds of the Weeknd and electro pop pixie Grimes offers up “Weak Spot”, which is slightly different side of the artist but every bit as intriguing and “Breathe” which continues in the style we know from Ache. Check out the videos for the two new songs below, as well as a stream of her 4-track debut EP which is now available on a 12” via Boomkat.

Video: Azealia Banks – “Van Vogue”

AzealiaBanks has released the official visuals to her song ‘Van Vogue’ off of the 1991 EP. The video was directed by Rankin who was also responsible for the “Liquorice” clip.  The outcome is another dark and stylish video, showing the singer in various situations not unlike a fashion shoot.

Listen: Azealia Banks – “1991″

Harlem MC Azeilia Banks returns with “1991” the title track from her new ep produced by American electronic artist Machinedrum. This one isn’t as fun as the steel drums and circus vibe of “Jumanji” but the rapper spits her rhymes with equal furry over the the dub meets dancehall vibe. The 1991 EP is out today digitally and 6/12 physically via Interscope. It’s a package that also includes the previously released “212” and “Liquorice.” Her mixtape, Fantastic, is out July 4th, and apparently the aforementioned “Jumanji” will find a home there.

Video: Woodkid – “Run Boy Run”

We first shared some music and visuals from Yoann Lemoine’s Woodkid project a year ago in the form of the excellent “Iron”. In that year Lemoine‘s star has grown brighter with his Lana Del Rey video’s and remix’s and although Yoann was already known for his sleak music videos for the likes of  Katy Perry, and Moby he is poised to make Woodkid just as successful in it's own right. Check out the breathtaking video for new single "Run Boy Run" which Yoann of course directed himself, if you like what you hear head to iTunes to grab the Run Boy Run EP released today.

Listen: Strobo Trip - Flaming Lips 6 hour single

The Flaming Lips known for their trippy interactive stage shows now allow you to have one of your own in your own bedroom whilst zoning out to a 6 hour song entitled "I Found a Star on the Ground".   Released as a charity aid for the Central Oklahoma Humane Society and the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma, Strobo Trip Light Phase Illusion Animation was released as a limited, collectors edition 3-song EP (collab with Sean Lennon) accompanied with a strobe light and multiple trippy discs.  The goal is to spin the discs and shine the strobe on them creating some looped animations you can stare at presumably and hopefully for a number of hours.

This interesting release comes in a line of new "object releases" Wayne Coyne and the Lips have been doing and have planned for the future. Others include glow-in-the-dark 12' vinyls and gummy skulls, frogs & fetuses.

"I Found a Star on the Ground" (6 hours, broken up into 3 parts)....

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

To check out the other 2 tracks pick up the collectors edition of Strobe Trip for $45.  You'll be lucky to track one down but if you do wont be disappointed... and its for charity, ya ass.

Listen: Main Attrakionz x These New Puritans - "3000"

Excitement is in the air anytime I see something coming from the U.K.’s These New Puritans, I actually had a very similar idea to use “3000” for a mashup but until that happens here is an official take on it from Main Attrakionz which appeared on These New Puritans' 'Hidden' Remix EP which also features remixes by SBTRKT, Salem, and Ghost Hunter. You can watch that video below.
