2013 was a busy year for Party Supplies, outside of producing the recent Blue Chips 2 mixtape with Action Bronson, the Party Supplies project went from a solo affair to a duo and with that Justin Nealis and Sean Mahon released their debut, the Tough Love LP back August. Check out the new video by Jordan Levine for "(Searching For) A Crazy Love (Dancing All Alone)” off the LP.

Video: Rhythm Roulette Episode 1 - "Party Supplies"

Mass Appeal have launched a fun new series by the name of Rhythm Roulette. The premise is simple, take a happening producer, have him/her purchase three random records at a record store of their choice and have them flip samples from the LPs into a brand-new beat. Up first is Queens based producer  Party Supplies, perhaps best known for his MPC wizardry with Action Bronson.

We have some catching up to do with being away for the last 5 days so why not start things up with some free music. We have already shared a handful of new tracks from ArabbMuzik who was scheduled to drop his new mixtape For Professional Use Only last Friday and so he did. More AraabMUZIK action this time in the form of  FLüD’s “Beats Per Minute” series. Those not familiar with the series should get up to date as it showcases some of hip hop’s most influential producers highlighting their craft, while discussing changes in the game, crate diggin’, equipment and their advise to the new generation. In this episode AraabMUZIK talks about his foundation and beginnings learning the MPC and how it took years to perfect his craft. He also discusses upcoming projects with his Dipset crew and other artists including Slaughterhouse, 50 Cent, etc and how he’s considered performing artists more than just a studio producer, enjoy….

Party Supplies just signed to Fool’s Gold.  If you haven’t heard of the man he is a copy-and-paste wizard hailing from Queens.  Loaded with a quick-trigger approach and an MPC, Party Supplies has drowned YouTube with live videos of him splicing up the likes of Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and more. Expect a more hip-hop oriented sound on his debut release.

We've been looking forward to our first post on Onomatopoeia, but we wanted to wait for something special.  This mini documentary on the Rhode Island MPC wizard AraabMUZIK seemed like the perfect way to start things off.  Gone are the days when hip-hop producers spent more time crate-digging for obscure ancient samples then they did on their actual equipment: the source material on this young producer's debut LP "Electronic Dream" is bargain-bin commercial trance music, which he chops and cuts through ruthlessly with his ultra-compressed hip-hop beats.  Listen to the stand out track "Streetz Tonight" below and you can decide for yourself whether you'd rather grind or fist pump.
