Video: Mr. Oizo – “HAM”

Anytime Eric Wareheim is behind a new video it’s worth sharing, the fact that this time it’s in conjunction with electronic mainstay Mr. Oizo makes it even better. “HAM” goes the absurd route depicting what Eric calls “The Future Of America,” it’s comically grotesque and stars John C. Reilly going after, wait for it, a Flat Eric doll. AWESOME!

If you like what you hear you can grab the recently released, The Church LP directly from Ninja Tune.

Video: Hot Sugar - Leverage (feat. KOOL AD + Fat Tony + Lakutis + Nasty Nigel)

We have shared a couple video’s from Nick Koening’s Hot Sugar project over the last year and those hungry for more tunes should be happy to hear that the New York beat maker has been hard at work on some new material for us all to sink our teeth into in the very near future, but for the time being here is a video for “Leverage” featuring Kool A.D., Fat Tony, Lakutis and Nasty Nigel from the excellent and still free MiDi Murder EP that was directed by Jay Sprogell.

Video: FaltyDL Ft. Ed Macfarlane – “She Says”

FaltyDL‘s forthcoming album, Hardcourage, is set to drop on Ninja Tune January 22nd, and with it the lead single, featuring Ed Macfarlane of Friendly Fires entitled “She Says”. The visuals come courtesy of a  rollerskating troupe who apparently can be found at Central Park doing their thing regularly.

Video: Hot Sugar Featuring Haleek Maul – “I Don’t Wanna B Judged”

After sharing a video from Nick Koening’s Hot Sugar project a couple weeks back the New York beat maker dropped the latest set of  visuals for his collaboration with Haleek Maul entitled “I Don't Wanna B Judged.” The witty video works largely on the strength of its unique and somewhat odd subjects and a clever device; each scene is tied together by a television screen in the background playing what will be the next scenario in the dynamic audiovisual story.  The video was directed by Martin Anderson and Efrén Hernández and features a Kitty Pryde cameo as well.

Video: Hot Sugar Featuring Heems - “56K”

A fitting video for Nick Koening’s Hot Sugar project. The glitchy “56K,” from the New York beat makers recently released MiDi Murder ep, features Heems’ pop culture rhymes in a sweet pixelated visual pay day directed by Steamclam Media Empire. You can still download the ep for free if you missed it some weeks back.

Video: FaltyDL - "Straight & Arrow"

New York producer FaltyDL’s “Straight & Arrow” single drops via Ninja Tune on November 12th and features some remix action from the likes of Four Tet and Gold Panda. In celebration, a new and odd video has been released for the song with the description “a song performed by a symphony of fingertips.” Would be interesting to know if the twitches accruing in the subjects are actually related to the music or not?

BONUS: Here are the remixes for your listening pleasure as well ...

Video: Lorn – “Weigh Me Down”

Lorn's "Weigh Me Down", taken from his excellent Ninja Tune album  Ask The Dust now has an equally fantastic video to go with it.  In the 8-bit clip we see a cattle-processing plant flip the switch and rise up against the humans in this equally parts eerie and intense video that was directed, produced and animated by Max Friedrich.

long time AesopRock producer Blockhead is back with a new LP, his fifth overall, titled Interludes After Midnight. Tony Simon, has traveled the globe and emerged with another collection of eclectic songs,  Interludes title comes to us from an afterhours New York City public access show that ran throughout the 80’s and early 90’s and is Blockhead’s ultimate homage to the times and places that defined his upbringing. The LP will be released on April 30th in Europe and May 1st in the US via Ninja Tune Records. Check out the the lead cut "Never Forget Your Token" below…

Video: The Death Set - "They Come to Get Us"

To accompany their new album, Michel Poiccard (Ninja Tune), The Death Set has released a video for their single "They Come to Get Us".  I don't know much about the band and to tell the truth don't really have much to say about the song but the video is pretty sweet.  Other than the fact the singer looks like he is dressed like a 30-year old toddler there are a lot of sweet references throw into this one (Rampage, Rambo, Trolls 2, etc..).

Video: Blockhead - "The Music Scene"

Back in 2009, beat-master Blockhead released his 4th album The Music Scene (Ninja Tune Records). A year later animator A.F.Schepperd created a video for the title track "The Music Scene" that still has eyes buzzing today. Television is struggling to gain the attention of animals once humans no longer exist, or at least that is my interpretation. Regardless, its awesome.

You may recognize Schepperd's work from the Rome - "Two Against One" music video, posted earlier.

Listen: Pepe Deluxe - Solid Steel Mix (1/27/2012)

Finnish electronic collective Pepe Deluxe dropped a great mix on Solid Steel this week along side Ninja Tune head honchos Cold Cut. The mix falls in conjunction with the release of Pepe’s highly anticipated 'Queen of the wave' album, out on the 30th January. The session is full of inspirations ranging from the Brit heavy rock of Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, to pseudo-classical music, some 60's pop and a little garage rock, plus we get a taste of the new album and an exclusive spin of a Husky Rescue remix for Pepe Deluxe.

Read & Listen: "Space Cadet" graphic novel and OST by Kid Koala

Space Cadet, the debut graphic novel by renound Ninja Tune turntablist Kid Koala, as well as its original soundtrack (presumably to be played while reading) will be released this October.  The plot touches on a theme evident in a lot of Kid Koala's work: the relationship between technology and isolation.  The drawings are also characteristic of Kid Koala's previous album/music-video art while the music consists of his own piano playing combined with his instrument of choice, the turntable.  Check out a preview of both aspects of the project below or watch a video of the live setup (yes he's taking this on the road too):

Watch: Cinematic Orchestra - "Manhatta"

Along the same lines as their "Man with a Movie Camera" audio-visual project, Ninja Tune artists Cinematic Orchestra just scored "Manhatta", a short 11-minute documentary film with scenes portraying the 'making-of' New York City's skyscraping borough, made by Charles Sheeler and Paul Strand in 1921. Watch "Manhatta" below:
